Haunted trails is an annual event in Lindenhurst put on by the park district.  Non-profit groups such as the Jaycees, the boy scouts and other businesses sponsor a scenes in the forest preserve.  Much like a haunted house where people jump out at you but in the woods, so much more creepy.  We set up the day prior to the event.  The next day is when all the fun begins, hundreds of members of the community come out and enjoy the fun.  They provide concessions, a bon fire, hay rides, etc.  The early hours are designated for the younger kids to walk though the spooky path.    As night falls the adults and teen find there way down the dimly lit path where we are waiting to send them screaming on their way.
