For most of us in the chapter this was our first Relay for Life.  It was held at Warren High School on O'Plaine Rd in Gurnee.  Our chapter raised $1700 for the American Cancer Society and we plan on raising a lot more for next years event.  There were contests, line dancing lessons, crafts, concessions, memorials and much more. The event went from 6PM July 14th to 6AM July 15th.  Some of us stayed up and walked most of the night and some made it just past midnight.  We had plenty of food and drinks and a tent set up for those who wanted to camp all night.  We had members from other Jaycee chapters that came out to support us and even cooked us hotdogs and hamburgers.  It was a great event and if you have never done one and would like too, please call us to participate in 2008.
